Scholarships

In addition to the Aid programs offered by the Financial Aid Office, students are encouraged to seek out additional sources of funding for their education.

Scholarships & Other Aid Resources

Scholarships constitute a large portion of the monies used to help students pay for college expenses.  Scholarships are available for nearly every situation you might think of.  The following list is designed to give you ideas about where you might look for additional funding sources.

  • Workforce Development Scholarships are available for new and returning students, enrolled in high-demand sectors in the areas of Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Early Childhood, Healthcare, Information Technology, and Transportation. Apply through the 全球赌博十大网站 Foundation.

  • 全球赌博十大网站 Advising and Counseling Office collects information regarding local Scholarship competitions, scholarship offers sent to campus, and scholarship notices by the program.
  • High School Counseling Office Your high school counselor may have information about local scholarships that are available from your community or the surrounding area.
  • Search the Internet Several scholarship searches are available to help students find dollars for education.
  • American Indian Scholarship Resources Special scholarships for Native American students are available. For more information, contact your local tribal education office or visit these websites:
  • Employer Tuition Reimbursement Programs Check with your employer to see if they will reimburse employees for college coursework. If you are a dependent student, have your parent(s) check with their employer. In some cases, employee tuition assistance programs can be used for the employees’ children.
  • Clubs and Organizations Check with your local Jaycees, Optimists, and/or Lions Clubs as well as banks, churches, businesses, and other groups to see if they offer scholarships.

  • Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA) Scholarships
  • Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship The Nellie Stone Johnson Scholarship awards up to $2,500 to Minnesota students who are of a racial or ethnic group and are a member of a union, or child, grandchild, or spouse of a union member.
